Incorporated in June 2014 as a limited liability company, Rujo Agric Trade Company Ltd (Agri-Trade) has the objective of contributing to the drive to modernization of Ghana’s agricultural sector.
Rujo Agric Trade (Agri-Trade) employs an out-grower business model in the production and marketing of soybeans, maize and Aromatic paddy rice. The company’s business model involves the provision of a bundle of inputs and services to its registered out-grower with a buy-back arrangement. The company is also into the production of certified seeds for supply to farmers in Ghana.
The company’s farms are located in the West Mamprusi and Savelugu Municipality in the North East and Northern Region Respectively.
Our Services
Rujo Agric Trade is a Certified seed producer with a total of 800 acres of land allocated to the production of; Rice (450 acres), Maize (50 acres) and Soybeans (200 acres)
Inputs provided under the scheme include certified seeds, fertilizer, inoculant and plant protection substances. The company also provide ploughing, extension and marketing services as a key component of its business model. The company works with a network of 3,500 small-holder farmers (outgrowers) cultivating a total of 10,500 acres of soybeans.
The company aggregates surplus soybeans, maize and paddy to smallholder farmers especially in remote parts of the four northern regions and supplies same to agro processors Servicesly in southern Ghana.
Agric Trade has a registered brand of white, polished and perfumed long grain rice under its subsidiary, Maraba Foods. The company processes an average of 250MT of rice a year.

Chief Executive Officer
Toatoba Joshua is an agribusiness professional with 11 years’ experience in managing agricultural commodity value chains and agribusiness investments. He has competence in designing and managing Out-grower schemes, commodity trading and commercial production of maize, rice and soybeans. He is responsible for implementing the strategy plan of the company. Joshua holds an Mphil in Agricultural Economics from the University for Development Studies.
Business Development Manager
Nicholas Buabeng is a highly personable HR/Organizational development professional with 10 years’ work experience in both public and private sector. He is responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of the company’s overall strategic management plan including setting organizational goals and establishing monitoring and evaluation system to track progress. He leads in product development, marketing as well as implementation of the company’s cooperate social responsibility strategy. Nicholas holds a masters degree in Human Resource Management and MBA.
Account Manager
Lois Dadzie is a progressive financial and accounting professional with 3 years’ work experience in the banking and agribusiness domain. She is proficient in micro-soft office, office management, administrative duties and customer services. She is a good communicator and confident working independently or as part of a team, a hard-working honest individual with excellent time management skills, she is confidential, friendly, helpful, polite, innovative and always enthusiastic to learn new skills and undertake new challenges
